PT TIMAH Tbk maintains good communication with MIND ID and stakeholders, particularly regulators at the regional and central levels. The communication assures the compliance of our mining policies with the WIUP and minimizes the risk of illegal mining. We also collaborate with the Police and TNI through MoUs to maintain the security of national vital objects, protect WIUP, preserve the Company’s assets, and curb illegal mining. Despite the collaboration with the authorities and security forces, we assure our business operations are free from political connections. Until the end of 2023, we were not involved in any donations or contributions to political activities.
Human Rights Training for Security Units [410-1]
We provide training programs for security practices in line with human rights principles. Throughout 2023, we collaborated with the Police Higher Education (STIK) to raise awareness through the National Seminar on Radical Infiltration - Terrorism as Prevention of Terrorist Attacks on State-Owned Assets and Government Ministries/Agencies for 0.9% (1 person out of 112 people) security officers in the operational area. The Company also collaborated with POLDA Bangka Belitung to hold a seminar on the Threat of Radical Terrorism in the Nation and State. The seminar was participated by 685 permanent employees.
