Social and Environmental Responsibility Program (TJSL)  [413-1, 413-2]  

Our CSR program focuses on three sectors: Education, Environment, and Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Development. In 2023, we have disbursed Rp7.2 billion for CSR activities, all of which are pro-bono/ voluntary.

 

1. Healthy Car Program

The Company assists the Community Social Workers Association (IPSM) in reducing stunting cases and poverty alleviation in the Babel Islands. The Company also creates several programs in line with the national action plan to accelerate stunting reduction, through the Healthy Car Program. This program provides food assistance for stunted children and free health services to the underprivileged.

2. MSME Development Program

This program helps assist partners and MSMEs in marketing products in the national market and provides them with coaching for upgrading their level. The Company’s internal team may provide direct coaching to the Assisted Partners or MSMEs or collaborate with other SOEs in providing coaching.

Digital marketing & public speaking workshops improve the competence of MSMEs, helping them increase sales figures and product awareness and expand markets. Digital marketing also has other objectives, for instance, building quality relationships and communication between business owners and consumers via digital channels capable of developing businesses in the global market. A total of 50 MSMEs participated in the workshop.

  • Collaboration between SOEs: PT Timah Tbk and PT Angkasa Pura II

To increase the positive impact of the MSE development program, PT Timah Tbk collaborated with PT Angkasa Pura II in assisting the marketing of MSME products: an MSME Product Exhibition at Terminal 3 Arrival of Soekarno Hatta Airpor t in February 2023

3. Mangrove Planting

PT Timah Tbk plants mangroves to preserve the environment. Mangroves function as natural barriers against storms and floods, protect the coastline from erosion, reduce the impact of natural disasters, and absorb and store a lot of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. They have an important role in global carbon storage because they absorb pollutants from seawater, such as heavy metals and other chemicals, thereby maintaining seawater quality. The Company involved all employees in mangrove planting.
