GEMURUH -- To reduce the cost of medical treatment for residents, PT Timah Tbk handed over medical assistance to Zulfikri (24), a resident of Dusun III BukitHappy, Gemuruh Village, West Kundur District who suffered from leaky kidneys, Thursday (7/9/2023).
This assistance from PT Timah Tbk is a form of the company's concern for the community around the mining area.
Zulfikri said that at first he only underwent traditional treatment due to limited funds. However, in the end, he was referred to RSBT Karimun for medical treatment.
"I only did outpatient treatment because of limited funds. But thank God, there are many generous hands who have helped me with my medical expenses, which are not small," he said.
He is grateful to receive assistance from PT Timah Tbk so that he can continue medical treatment.
"This assistance can help offset my medical expenses because the treatment I do requires a lot of money. Meanwhile, my economy is just barely enough to eat every day, especially now that I can't work yet," he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of Gemuruh Village, Ari Nurfaisal, expressed his appreciation to PT Timah for helping reduce the medical costs of its residents.
"Hopefully with this assistance, Brother Zulfikri can continue treatment so that he can recover quickly and return to his activities," he said.
Likewise, the Head of West Kundur Community Health Center, Fakhrul Razaq, appreciated the assistance provided by PT Timah Tbk.
"From a health point of view, Zulfikri's illness requires continuous observation and the person concerned has not been able to carry out heavy activities. We hope that this assistance will ease Zulfikri's medical expenses a little so that he can recover quickly," he stated. (*)
