CENTRAL BANGKA - Wiwin Kusumiati (45) could not hold back his emotion when he received assistance from PT Timah Tbk. This assistance will be used to pay for the treatment of her husband Suhardi (50) who has a tumor on his neck.
“I am touched, PT Timah has helped me. We can only thank PT Timah for helping to cover my husband's medical expenses," said a Jelutung Village, Namang District, Central Bangka Regency resident on Wednesday (24/12/2022).
Previously, said Wiwin, they only relied on help from their family and neighbors for their husband's medical expenses in Palembang.
“My husband has a tumor on his neck. At first, he only complained of pain in the eye and a headache. At that time, my husband had just finished poisoning the grass in the residents' gardens; suddenly, he complained of pain at night. It's been more than a year," said Wiwin.
According to him, they initially only underwent alternative medicine. However, her condition was getting worse and her face started to swell. After that they took him to the hospital and treated him.
When visited by the PT Timah Tbk CSR team, Wiwin said that her husband was still in the treatment stage outside Bangka.
"The treatment was also carried out outside Bangka Island, due to a referral from a doctor. Until now, we have gone back and forth to Palembang five times. Thank God, my husband's condition is now getting better. He no longer complains of pain, usually, if he just lies down, he already feels pain in his head," she said.
She is grateful to be able to get PT Timah's assistance and appreciates PT Timah Tbk who continues to move to help people in need.
"Hopefully PT Timah will be more successful and continue to be able to help many people," she said.
