Winning the ANRI Award, PT KAI Benchmarks Archival Management to PT Timah

PANGKALPINANG -- The LRT Division of PT Kereta Api Indonesia conducted a benchmarking of archival management at the PT Timah headquarters in Pangkalpinang, on Thursday (29/2/2024).

The General Affairs and Asset Management Division of PT Timah welcomed the presence of the PT KAI team. In addition to discussions, the PT KAI team also visited the archival building of PT Timah.

Moef Afif, Manager of Human Resources and General Affairs at PT KAI, expressed appreciation for the warm reception from PT Timah during the benchmarking activity of archival management.

Moef Afif stated that the visit was motivated by the fact that the Jabodetabek LRT Division is a new PT KAI division that requires archival management benchmarking for future reference.

"Thank you for the outstanding reception and for hosting us in the Timah archival building, which turned out to be quite spacious," he said.

According to him, based on information obtained from ANRI, the Archival Unit of PT Timah Tbk was awarded the Best Archival Unit in the State-Owned Enterprises category in 2023.

"After this visit, it turns out that PT Timah's archiving is already managed digitally, and I believe this is an added value and helps improve archival management, making it easier to find needed archives, save archive files, and make archival arrangements more effective," he emphasized.

Currently, PT Timah continues to enhance archival management through digitization and media conversion. PT Timah has developed a digital archival system called START (Timah Archive Discipline Awareness).

Additionally, PT Timah is intensifying archival literacy for management to maintain a shared commitment and awareness that the company's archives are assets.

As known, in 2023, PT Timah received an award from the National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia (ANRI) as a State-Owned Enterprise that received Rank I with the AA category 'Very Satisfactory' as a state-owned enterprise for archival management based on archival supervision results in 2022 and AA Qualification 'Very Satisfactory'.
