BANGKA -- The 49th Anniversary Healthy Week of PT Timah in Belinyu, Bangka Regency, was filled with joy and memorable stories for the thousands of participants who gathered at Lapangan Bola Hijau, Belinyu, on Sunday (August 10, 2025).
This special event, attended by thousands, was not only about entertainment but also about unforgettable moments. One such moment belonged to Dipa Putri, a woman from Belinyu who was lucky enough to win the grand prize a brand-new motorcycle.
For Dipa, the moment felt like a dream come true amid the cheers and excitement of the event, which carried the theme “For the Red and White.” Having endured the scorching heat while joining all the activities, she certainly did not go home empty-handed.
“I never expected to win a motorcycle. I joined the morning walk, stood under the hot sun, and waited for the prize drawing. Turns out, it was really my lucky day,” she said gratefully.
But Dipa’s victory came with a quirky twist. When her ticket number was called, she ran to the stage with unstoppable enthusiasm. In the rush of the moment, she lost one of her shoes.
“As soon as I heard my number, I ran. My shoe slipped off, and when I went back to get it, it was gone. But it’s okay—losing my shoe was worth winning this motorcycle. Thank you, PT Timah, for sharing prizes with the people of Belinyu,” she said with a laugh.
Aside from Dipa, hundreds of other residents also took home prizes prepared by PT Timah for the Belinyu community, ranging from televisions, ovens, fans, washing machines, refrigerators, rice cookers, and microwaves to the most anticipated grand prize—10 motorcycles.
The 49th Anniversary Healthy Week in Belinyu also featured a blood donation drive and an MSME bazaar with dozens of local entrepreneurs showcasing their products. The enthusiasm of the community was evident from the bustling bazaar tents, where visitors enjoyed local cuisine while supporting homegrown products.
Through this event, PT Timah once again demonstrated its commitment to being present in the community, fostering togetherness, and delivering tangible benefits. For Dipa, it will forever be remembered as the day she lost her shoes but gained the motorcycle of her dreams.
