WEST BANGKA -- PT Timah Tbk supports the activities of the West Bangka Regency Youth Red Cross (PMR) which will take part in the National Level Fun Meeting (Jumbara) in Lampung on June 30-July 9 2023.
The assistance was handed over by the Head of Unmet Secretariat PT Timah Tbk Arief Yudianto to West Bangka PMR Representative Regaluh Jotyarma, who was accompanied by PMR Ravenilia Advisor, and West Bangka PMI Secretary Achmad Nursandi at PT Timah Tbk's Unit Metalurgi Office, Tuesday (13/6/2023).
Deputy Chairperson of West Bangka PMR Regaluh Jotyarma said PMR is a coaching platform for youth to be involved in social humanitarian activities under the auspices of PMI.
He explained, PMR members attended training on the red cross, were involved in humanitarian activities in the fields of health and disaster preparedness, promoted the basic principles of the red cross movement, and developed the organizational capacity of PMI.
"Thank you to PT Timah for its support for West Bangka PMR. This assistance will be used for the National Jumbara which will be held in Lampung," he said.
PMR West Bangka coach Ravenilia said the PMR members who will take part in the National Jumbara will be trained beforehand to prepare for Jumbara.
"Our younger siblings who are going to go to Jumbara are trained first, they are members of the PMR Madya, and PMR Wira Bangka Barat have attended joint training from the Bangka Belitung and Training Center," he explained.
"Alhamdulillah, PT Timah's assistance is very helpful in the process of implementing activities at National Jumbara. The assistance provided is useful for us," said Ravenilia.
Meanwhile, West Bangka PMI Secretary Achmad Nursandi appreciated PT Timah's assistance for PMI Youth who are members of PMR.
"We thank PT Timah Tbk for the support of our younger siblings at PMR, we hope this assistance can be put to good use by them," he said. (*)
