Welding Equipment at the Ho Tjin Kho Workshop is Getting More Complete after Becoming a Foster Partner of PT Timah Tbk

*Develop Palm Oil Business

BANGKA – Ho Tjin Kho has decades ago developed a welding workshop business located in Sungailiat, Bangka Regency. Armed with his abilities when he opened a construction workshop in Lampung, he intended to start a welding workshop business.

This man started a welding workshop business since 1996, and he was just a salesman before. However, armed with the determination and the capital he collected, he made the courage to open this business.

The business he experienced had ups and downs, but Ho Tjin Kho did not give up. Armed with makeshift equipment, he began to develop his business. Gradually, his business became known and so the orders came in.

He told that his welding workshop provided welding for trellises, fences, iron doors and so on. Not only in Sungailiat, but the Tjin Kho Las Workshop can also be called to various regions.

He was constrained at that time, where the equipment he had was still very minimal and he needed to add new tools. Finally, he decided to increase his business capital by becoming a foster partner of PT Timah Tbk.

Through PT Timah Tbk's Micro Small Business Funding (PUMK) program, he can add and replace the equipment. With this new equipment, it can accelerate the processing of consumer orders.

"From the capital loan provided by PT Timah, I used it to increase my capital and develop my welding workshop business," he said.

Some of the equipment that he owned after becoming a foster partner of PT Timah Tbk, such as gerenda, drilling machine, and adding a welding trap, which was originally only one, has become two now.

"With a capital loan from PT Timah, I made my welding shop able to renew new machines and add new tools that I wanted, because the previous machines were already starting to break down," he said.

With the development of his welding workshop business, Ho Tjin Kho can also develop other businesses such as owning an oil palm plantation. For him, this capital program can help small business entrepreneurs.

"The program carried out by PT Timah is very good and very helpful for small business actors and makes it easier for people who want to develop their businesses and start their businesses," he said.

He hopes that programs like this will continue so that business actors can develop their businesses to be more advanced.*
