SOUTH BANGKA -- PT TIMAH Tbk again held a social service to commemorate the 5th Anniversary of MIND. This time, the Social Service was held at the Toboali Muslim Foundation, Toboali District, South Bangka Regency, Tuesday (8/11/2022).
This social service activity was also attended by the Director of Business Development of PT Timah Tbk, Alwin Albar, the administrators of the foundation, as well as orphans and orphans.
In addition to providing donations and school equipment, this social service activity also held storytelling for children and coloring activities together.
Orphans and orphans at the Toboali Muslim Foundation seemed enthusiastic about participating in this activity. They listened to a story about Jeki who was brave that was read by one of the employees of PT TIMAH Tbk.
Director of Business Development of PT TIMAH Tbk, Alwin Albar introduced and briefly explained MIND ID and PT TIMAH Tbk to the children who were present.
"PT TIMAH Tbk is part of MIND ID which is the Holding of the Mining Industry. Today's activity is in the context of MIND ID's 5th Anniversary. As a form of gratitude, MIND ID and its members carry out this social service," said Alwin simply.
Furthermore, Alwin conveyed that MIND ID received a mandate from the Government to manage Indonesia's natural resources to provide the maximum benefit to the community.
"MIND ID is assigned to manage natural resources, while PT TIMAH takes care of tin. We also hope that you can pray for MIND ID and PT TIMAH Tbk so that they can continue to prosper and provide benefits to the community," he said.
The management of the Toboali Muslim Foundation, Windi Rosa, admitted that he was very happy with the social services held by PT TIMAH Tbk at their foundation. Currently, he said, there are dozens of orphans in the orphanage.
So far, said Windi, they do not have permanent donors, they persist with the generosity of the community and the donors.
Windi said that PT TIMAH Tbk also often provided compensation to their Foundation so that they were greatly helped.
"Activities like this really help children, because we don't have any donors, but we only hope for compensation. PT TIMAH Tbk is the one who often provides assistance," she said.
She is grateful to receive social services so that later the compensation given by PT TIMAH Tbk can help the foundation's activities.
"The compensation will be used for the needs of children and foundations, and daily life. Hopefully, PT TIMAH Tbk and MIND ID can continue to prosper so that they can always help the people around them," he hoped.
One of the children at the Muslim Foundation, Anzelika (8) who received the aid for school supplies, said she was happy to have new school equipment and will use it immediately.
"It's nice to get stone school tools, I want to use them right away," said this Toboali Elementary 11 student.
Similarly, Attaya Aprilio admitted that he was also happy to be able to color and listen to stories. In addition, he can also have new school equipment.
"I'm happy because I got new school equipment, later I want to save the equipment for the new school year," he said.
This social service activity was also held in five operational areas of PT TIMAH Tbk such as in Belitung Regency, West Bangka, Central Bangka, South Bangka, and in Karimun.
