WEST BANGKA -- In welcoming Christmas 2025, PT TIMAH Tbk demonstrated its concern for the Christian community by providing support for religious activities at the Protestant Church in Western Indonesia (GPIB) Bethesda, Mentok, West Bangka Regency.
The assistance was handed over directly by the Division Head of Processing and Refinery of PT TIMAH Tbk, Sofian Simangunsong, and received by the GPIB Bethesda Church Holy Day Committee, Rina Megawati, at the PT Timah Guest House in Mentok recently.
Rina Megawati said that PT TIMAH Tbk is one of the companies that consistently supports religious activities at GPIB Bethesda, especially during Christmas celebrations.
“This assistance will be used for the Christmas celebration activities to be held on Thursday, December 18, 2025. Not only this year, PT TIMAH Tbk has also routinely supported Christmas celebrations at our church, including various other social assistance programs,” Rina said.
She expressed her appreciation for PT TIMAH Tbk’s commitment to continuously showing care for people of different faiths. According to her, this is a form of synergy and collaboration in maintaining social harmony within the community.
She added that PT TIMAH Tbk not only plays an active role in supporting religious activities, but also provides other social assistance for communities in need.
“Thank you to PT TIMAH Tbk for the support. May PT TIMAH Tbk and all of its employees always be successful and continue to grow,” she said.
Meanwhile, the Pastor of GPIB Bethesda Mentok, Delila Yosarela Benu, S.Si. Teol., explained that the church would hold a Christmas welcoming service earlier, in accordance with the theme set by the Communion of Churches in Indonesia (PGI).
“We will hold the Christmas welcoming service on Thursday, December 18, 2025. This celebration will be held earlier and will involve churches in this region as well as invited guests, while still referring to the PGI Christmas theme,” she explained.
Pastor Delila noted that PT Timah has a good track record in building social relationships with the community, including with the church.
“The contribution of PT TIMAH Tbk is truly felt by the congregation. Through this support, good communication and relationships have been established between PT TIMAH Tbk and the church. The presence of PT TIMAH Tbk has had a positive impact and has become a blessing, both for the church and for the community,” she said.
She hopes that in the future PT TIMAH Tbk will continue to grow and provide broader benefits to society.
“May PT TIMAH Tbk, together with all of its leaders and employees, continue to build good relationships, become more successful and progressive, and be able to improve the welfare of the community,” Pastor Delila concluded.
