Weaving Togetherness, PT TIMAH Supports Halalbihalal Gathering of the Bangka Community Association

JAKARTA -- As part of efforts to strengthen ties among the Bangka Belitung community in Jakarta, PT TIMAH (Persero) Tbk supported a Halalbihalal event organized by the Musyawarah Keluarga Masyarakat Bangka (MKMB Jaya) at the Ministry of Villages Building, Jalan TMP Kalibata, South Jakarta, on Saturday (April 4, 2026).

A warm and friendly atmosphere filled the gathering of the Bangka community living away from home. Beyond providing support, PT TIMAH was also present as part of the togetherness, joining in the post-Eid moment of reconnecting and strengthening relationships.

The event, attended by hundreds of Bangka residents across Java, became an important occasion to strengthen bonds among community members spread throughout the island.

Chairwoman of MKMB Jaya, Hj. Zahria Subagyo, affectionately known as Yuk Yaya, expressed her gratitude for the successful organization of the event, made possible through the support of various parties, including PT TIMAH.

“Alhamdulillah, this Halalbihalal event was carried out smoothly as planned. We are very grateful for PT TIMAH’s support, which helped ensure the success of this event,” she said.

According to her, the gathering was not only a reunion but also a means to strengthen mutual care among Bangka residents living away from their hometown. She noted that more than 5,000 Bangka people are spread across Java, including Jakarta, Banten, West Java, and Central Java.

“Through this event, we can reconnect, strengthen our sense of family, and maintain our care for fellow Bangka people in the diaspora,” she added.

PT TIMAH’s support for this event also received appreciation from various parties, including the Chairman of the Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province, Didit Srigusjaya, who acknowledged the company’s contribution to the success of the event.

He stated that the gathering not only helped ease the longing for home but also served as a forum to gather ideas for the future development of Bangka Belitung.

“First of all, I would like to thank PT TIMAH for supporting this event so that it was successfully carried out. Activities like this are important to maintain community unity while also strengthening the contributions of those living away from home,” he said.

Didit also expressed hope that Bangka Belitung residents living outside the region would continue to contribute to their hometown.

“We ask for support and prayers from Bangka Belitung communities living outside the region. Please support us and pray that we can carry out governance in line with the aspirations of the people,” he concluded.
