Visit to Kundur Production Area, CEO: "Never Give Up, Keep Improving

KUNDUR– The CEO of PT Timah Tbk, Ahmad Dani Virsal, made a working visit to the Kundur Area on Thursday (7/11/24). During the visit, the CEO was accompanied by the Division Head of the Kundur Area and toured several key facilities, including the processing warehouse, smelting plant, and the Kundur metal warehouse.

That evening, at Griya Timah Kundur, the CEO held a meeting with the Division Head of the Kundur Area, Wiyono, as well as all the heads of the company's KIP units and department heads in the Kundur Area. The meeting was aimed at hearing firsthand about the innovations and improvements that have been made to enhance the company's tin ore production, as well as discussing the challenges and obstacles faced in the business processes within the Kundur Area.

During the meeting, the CEO conveyed an important message to all employees of PT Timah. He reminded them that the company is facing a situation filled with challenges, but through hard work, innovation, and continuous improvements, the company can overcome these challenges and keep increasing production.

"Right now, we are facing a situation where there aren’t many options, and it’s up to us to keep working hard, make innovations, explore alternatives, and implement improvements to increase production. And this must be done together— we must be united and support each other," said the CEO.

The CEO also emphasized the importance of changing the mindset in facing challenges. "We can't wait for everything to become ideal. We must make improvements immediately, and then evaluate the results together. If there are still issues, we resolve them together. Insha Allah, we will see positive results," he stressed.

Meanwhile, Joni Kambia, Department Head of KIP 99, expressed appreciation for the initiative. He noted that direct visits from the management to production sites are essential, as they allow employees to interact directly with the leadership. This allows management to hear firsthand about the challenges on the ground and provide guidance and motivation as needed.

"I hope that such activities continue not just in the Kundur Area, but also across other production areas. These visits motivate employees because they feel appreciated by their ‘parent’, the management," said Joni.

Joni also added that visits like this can boost the enthusiasm and morale of employees in production, as they feel valued and supported by the company’s leadership.

In the meeting, the CEO also left a special message for all employees and their families to continue praying for the safety and smooth operation of the company's production activities.

"With hard work and collective prayers, I hope we can continue to achieve better results for the progress of our company," concluded the CEO. (*)
