Very Enthusiastic, Participants of the 49th Anniversary PT Timah Healthy Week in Pangkalpinang Wore Unique Costumes from Garuda Symbols to Recycled Dresses

PANGKALPINANG -- The 49th Anniversary Healthy Week of PT Timah Tbk, held in Pangkalpinang, was full of excitement at the PT Timah Tbk Head Office on Sunday (August 31, 2025). Not only was it filled with various sports and entertainment activities, but the atmosphere also became livelier thanks to participants’ creativity in wearing unique costumes.

A variety of eye-catching costumes stole the spotlight during the Healthy Week, which carried the theme “For the Red and White.” Tens of thousands of people joined the annual event hosted by PT Timah Tbk.

Some participants wore creative costumes made from recycled materials with different designs. Their appearances not only added color to the event but also became a special attraction for the crowds that filled the venue.

The enthusiasm of participants was visible from the early morning as they took part in the series of activities, from a healthy walk, mass zumba, MSME bazaar, blood donation, free health services at the Mobile Health Clinic, to entertainment shows.

Among those in unique costumes were husband and wife, Resi Nanda and Edi Jaya, who dressed in Garuda-themed outfits. They looked harmonious wearing self-made red-and-white attributes.

“I made this yesterday in the shape of the Garuda, the symbol of our nation. I wore it today to encourage everyone to embrace nationalism because Garuda is the national emblem, and PT Timah is a state-owned company,” he said.

He also expressed his hopes for PT Timah’s success in continuing to contribute to the people and the economy of Bangka Belitung.

“I hope PT Timah continues to rise and progress so that Babel’s economy remains stable,” he added.

Similarly, Qomari, who wore traditional Papuan attire, said he often wears the outfit on various occasions as an expression of his love for Papua.

“I’m Javanese, but I wear Papuan clothes because I love Papua and I hope others will also love Papua,” he said.

The same spirit was shown by Aisyah Raisa Afriano and Hilya Fatiya Afriano, who wore dresses made from recycled plastic.

“Our mom made them last night, and we wore them today. We’re so happy,” they said.

Their parents explained that they designed and created the red-and-white themed outfits for their daughters to help brighten up the celebration of PT Timah’s 49th Anniversary Healthy Week.

“I made them myself, thank God the kids loved them, and they’re happy with these costumes. Happy Anniversary to PT Timah,” their mother said.

The Healthy Week was also enlivened by an MSME Bazaar featuring dozens of small businesses fostered by PT Timah and the surrounding community. Visitors crowded the bazaar area, which offered a wide range of products including culinary treats, accessories, and interesting paintings.

In addition, PT Timah Tbk’s Healthy Week also featured blood donation and free health services through the PT Timah Mobile Health Clinic.

Previously, PT Timah Tbk’s Healthy Week had also been held across the company’s operational areas, such as in Belitung, Kundur, South Bangka, and Bangka.
