BELITUNG TIMUR -- Thousands of residents in East Belitung and its surroundings participated in PT Timah Tbk's Healthy Week which was held at Nyiur Melambai Beach, Manggar District, East Belitung Regency, Sunday (20/8/2023).
The community enthusiastically took part in the Healthy Walk covering a distance of about three kilometers which was held in commemoration of the 47th anniversary of PT Timah Tbk which carried the theme 'Harmony and Hard Work'.
Various groups ranging from children to the elderly took part in Casual Walks and Zumba Together in PT Timah Tbk's Healthy Week which was released by the Main Director of PT Timah Tbk Ahmad Dani Virsal, East Belitung Regent Burhanudin, Commissioner of PT Timah Tbk Rustam Efendi and Forkompinda in Belitung.
Apart from Healthy Walks, PT Timah Tbk also presents PT Timah Tbk Health Cars to provide free health services for people who attend the PT Timah Tbk Healthy Week.
Dozens of fostered partner SMEs and surrounding SMEs also sell their products. This Healthy Week activity gave them a blessing.

The lively activities were even more lively when various prizes were distributed such as electric motorbikes, refrigerators, and other attractive prizes. PT Timah Tbk also provided entertainment for the people who attended.
President Director of PT Timah, Ahmad Dani Virsal conveyed that the Healthy Week activity in East Belitung was a series of commemorations of PT Timah's 47th anniversary and welcoming RI's 78th anniversary.
He hopes that the Healthy Week activity will become a means of bringing the company closer to the people of East Belitung. Besides that, it is also a moment to exercise with the community.
"Thank you for the participation of the people of East Belitung. Healthy Week was held as an expression of gratitude for the 47th anniversary of PT Timah Tbk and the 78th anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia. This commemoration reminds us to do introspection to do the best for our beloved country. This is also an expression of our gratitude,” he said.
Dani added, PT Timah Tbk hopes for prayers and support from the people of East Belitung for the company's smooth running of its business processes.
"Please pray for and support from all East Belitung residents so that they can continue to operate well and smoothly in East Belitung. Hopefully, we are in good health and continue to move to contribute to the country," he said.
East Belitung Regent Burhanudin said the presence of PT Timah Tbk in Bangka Belitung, especially in East Belitung, had made a positive contribution to development.
"We hope for better synergy and coordination to build prosperity and utilize natural resources for the benefit of society so that they can make an optimal contribution," he said.
On this occasion, the man who is often called Aan prays for PT Timah Tbk to continue to be successful and progress.
"Happy birthday to PT Timah Tbk, always victorious, successful, and able to contribute. Let's unite to build the East Belitung region," he said.
One of the Healthy Week participants, Fauzan (16) who is a student at SMK Negeri 1 Manggar, admitted that he was very happy to take part in PT Timah Tbk's Healthy Walk.
"Very happy to be able to take part in a healthy walk, besides sports, there are door prizes, this is also looking for entertainment," he said.
In the same vein, Yosi (22), a resident of East Padang Belitung Village, knows information on Healthy Walks from social media.
"Knowing PT Timah's Healthy Week information from social media status, I took a healthy walk with my cousin. The motivation is to be healthy, looking for entertainment, there are door prizes. The activities are fun because they are busy. Hopefully, PT Timah Tbk will often carry out activities like this, if possible the prizes will be increased," he said.
Likewise, Asnah (62), a manggar resident, said that she was very happy to be able to take part in the health walk, besides being easy and cheap, it was also healthy.
"At this age I really have to maintain my health which can be done easily, one of which is a healthy walk like this.
Apart from wanting to be healthy, participating in PT Timah's healthy walk hopes to get a prize," he said.
