Under the Shade of Trees, PT TIMAH Invites the Community to Live Healthily Through Group Exercise

PANGKALPINANG -- The cool morning air combined with the shade of lush trees in the Tins Green Garden Forestree area created a pleasant atmosphere for hundreds of residents who took part in a group exercise session organized by PT TIMAH (Persero) Tbk on Sunday (May 17, 2026).

Beneath the towering green trees, participants appeared enthusiastic as they followed each exercise movement. Energetic music added to the excitement of the crowd that filled the open green space managed by the company.

Not only adults, but also children and the elderly joined in enjoying the shared exercise activities in the green open space. In addition to the group exercise, some residents were also seen jogging and engaging in other physical activities.

This group exercise activity is part of PT TIMAH’s ongoing effort to encourage the community to adopt a healthy lifestyle through simple yet enjoyable activities.

The lush garden landscape and fresh air in the Tins Green Garden Forestree area provided a unique experience for participants. They were not only exercising but also enjoying the calming natural atmosphere in the middle of the city.

President Director of PT TIMAH (Persero) Tbk, Restu Widiyantoro, was also present at the community exercise event held in the company’s residential complex. He stated that, in addition to providing sports facilities in green open spaces, this exercise program will be conducted regularly.

“We will continue to enhance the facilities in this park so that people can exercise more comfortably. This is part of our effort to encourage a healthy lifestyle,” said Restu.

Going forward, he added that the Bukit Baru Park area will continue to be developed, including the addition of a jogging track to make it easier for residents to exercise.

Not only in Pangkalpinang, PT TIMAH is also optimizing its assets in operational areas such as Belitung and Kundur to be transformed into green open spaces that can benefit the community.

One of the participants, Asri, a resident of Air Mawar, said this was her first time exercising in the area and that she was very pleased with the group activity.

“This is my first time here, and it turns out the atmosphere is very comfortable. Places like this are still rare in Pangkalpinang, even though green open spaces with sports facilities are increasingly needed as the healthy lifestyle trend continues to grow,” she said.

She hopes that more sports facilities will be added in the future so that more people will be encouraged to exercise.

Similarly, Kisa, a resident near Masjid Jami, said she often exercises at Bukit Baru Park because of its comfortable and refreshing environment.

“I usually come here for a walk, and today there’s a group exercise session, so it gives us another option for staying active. Hopefully, there will be more events like this in the future,” she added.
