WEST BANGKA -- Maya (50) was unable to hold back her tears when she received wheelchair assistance from PT Timah Tbk at her residence, Tuesday (6/6/2023).
This resident of Sekar Biru Village, Parittiga sub-district, West Bangka Regency, has had a stroke in the last four years. So she could only walk with the aid of a cane.
"Thanks for the wheelchair assistance for me," Maya said haltingly.
Apart from Maya, PT Timah Tbk also handed over wheelchair assistance to Eliya, a resident of Semulutu Village, West Bangka Regency. Maya also could not contain her happiness.
She had suffered a stroke for the last three years which left her paralyzed and could only lie on her back.
"Thank you," she said softly because he had difficulty speaking.
Meanwhile, the Community Social Worker (PSM) of Sekar Biru Village Sapar said they received reports about residents who were sick so they took the initiative to propose to PT Timah Tbk.
"Alhamdullillah, our proposal was assisted by PT Timah Tbk. Thank you PT Timah Tbk for helping," he said.
In the same vein, the Village Head of Semulut Gusti appreciated PT Timah Tbk for returning to help their residents. According to Eliya, he deserves wheelchair assistance.
"Hopefully this wheelchair assistance will be useful for Mrs. Eliya. In addition, PT Timah Tbk has provided basic food assistance to our residents. Hopefully, PT Timah Tbk can continue to help our residents," he said.
Likewise, the Paritiga sub-district head Adhian Zulhajani hopes that PT Timah Tbk can continue to work together with them to help the people in their sub-district.
"We express our appreciation and gratitude to PT Timah for the assistance of wheelchairs for our two residents. Hopefully, this synergy will continue, PT Timah will continue to exist, progress until PT Timah's existence is felt in the midst of society," he said. (*)
