Two Mosques in Rangsang District Receive Assistance from PT Timah

MERANTI – To assist the community in expediting the construction of places of worship, PT Timah has provided assistance to two mosques in Rangsang District, Kepulauan Meranti Regency.

The two mosques that received support are Al Jihad Mosque in Tanjung Bakau Village and Ar Rahman Mosque in Tanjung Gemuk Village. The aid was handed over by the Head of Kundur Area, PT Timah, to the mosque management last week.

This assistance for places of worship is part of PT Timah's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, aimed at supporting the social and religious activities of communities in the company's operational areas.

One of the managers of Ar Rahman Mosque, Baso Abdu, expressed appreciation for the support. According to him, the assistance is greatly helpful in completing the ongoing mosque construction.

"We, the management of Ar Rahman Mosque in Tanjung Gemuk Village, express our gratitude to PT Timah for helping alleviate the costs of mosque construction, which we have been funding independently through community donations," he said.

Baso Abdu added that the Ar Rahman Mosque serves not only as a place of worship but also as a venue for community Islamic study activities.

Similarly, Yandri, a representative of the Al Jihad Mosque in Tanjung Bakau Village, Rangsang District, stated that the aid from PT Timah has helped accelerate their mosque construction.

"This assistance has helped us complete the mosque construction so the community can quickly use it for worship and other activities," he said.

Rangsang Subdistrict Head, Setu, also expressed appreciation for the support and attention provided by PT Timah to the people of Rangsang District.

"The company has significantly contributed to supporting community activities, and PT Timah has always been present to support these initiatives. We hope PT Timah will continue operating in Rangsang District so that its contributions can be sustainably felt by the community," he concluded. (*)
