BANGKA BELITUNG -- MSMEs are one of the sectors that can drive the community's economy. MSMEs also play a role in the absorption of job opportunities. Realizing this, PT Timah Tbk as a mining company through its CSR also encourages the development of MSMEs through various programs.
The MSME development program carried out by PT Timah Tbk is implemented in an integrated manner. In terms of capital, PT Timah Tbk has a Micro Small Business Funding Program (PUMK).
The potential foster partners of PT Timah Tbk also received training for product development such as eco print training which was conducted for fostered partners in Pangkalpinang and will be carried out in Belitung.
This eco-print training was also carried out for the general public as was carried out in Air Abik Hamlet, Bangka Regency as a form of community empowerment around the mine.
In terms of financial management, PT Timah Tbk encourages MSME players to be literate and utilize digital-based financial management technology.
To that end, PT Timah Tbk held a digital-based SME Financial Report Preparation training held in Pangkalpinang and Tanjung Balai Karimun.
Through this training, it is hoped that the MSMEs fostered by PT Timah Tbk can maximize their financial management so that they can see the progress of the business being carried out.
In addition to carrying out independent coaching, PT Timah Tbk also involves fostered partners to participate in a joint program with the Ministry of Trade which includes socializing the development of domestic product brands held at the Swiss Bell hotel, an exhibition of MSME products specifically for food and handicraft products at Summarecon Mall Serpong, product exhibitions MSMEs to welcome the G20 in Tanjung Kelayang - Belitung
One of PT Timah Tbk's foster partners, Yasrul from Karimun, admitted that the financial management coaching and training carried out by PT Timah Tbk helped them in doing the bookkeeping.
So far, he said, they haven't even implemented business financial management properly
"So far I have only recorded it in my book so I don't forget it. However, after participating in the training, I realized and understood the importance of preparing good and correct management reports," he said.
Yasrul along with other partners appreciated PT Timah Tbk for caring for and fostering them to improve their abilities.
"Thanks to PT Timah for caring for its fostered partners by making training programs like this, so that we all understand and are more technology literate," he said.
Similarly, PT Timah Tbk's Partners from Bangka Erliana said that the preparation of financial reports was indeed an obstacle for MSME actors. This is because their income is mixed with household income. So, they often miss making financial reports and are confused about where to start.
"If it's a simple one, we've tried to do debit credit, but it's not consistent. Because of that, the problem was still mixed with household finances, because sometimes we spend from that result. So we don't know the profit for sure, we can only guess," he said.
Therefore, he was so enthusiastic about participating in the training that later he could make a financial report for the shell craft business he was living in.
Not only training, but PT Timah Tbk also seeks to promote the products of the fostered partners through various exhibitions. PT Timah Tbk regularly engages its fostered partners in various exhibitions at local and national levels such as inacraft, adiwastra, and others exhibitions.
From the marketing side, PT Timah has also provided a place for fostered partners to market products such as at TINS ??Gallery located on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, Taman Sari District, Pangkalpinang City, Sebalai Serumpun Gallery in the Waiting Room of Depati Amir Airport, Belitung BUMN House which is located on Jalan Melati, Tanjungpendam, Tanjungpandan District, Belitung Regency and Tins Corner at Swissbell Hotel.
Through this integrated coaching program, it is hoped that the businesses of PT Timah Tbk's fostered partners can develop, their products can compete globally, and carry out business management optimally so that they can have an impact on the community's economy.
