PANGKALPINANG -- PT Timah Tbk will announce students who have graduated from the PT Timah Tbk Scholarship Class Program at SMAN 1 Pemali for the 2023/2024 Academic Year on Thursday (15/6/2023).
A total of 36 students were declared to have passed the PT Timah Tbk scholarship class program at SMAN 1 Pemali from the Bangka Belitung Islands Province, Riau Islands Province, and Riau Province.
The participants who were declared passed had previously attended a series of selection activities such as administration tests, Academic Potential, Psychotests, interviews, Clinical Psychology, and medical tests.
Previously, 257 students had enrolled in the PT Timah Tbk scholarship class program at SMAN 1 Pemali for the 2023/2024 academic year. However, after the selection process, only 36 students were accepted.
This scholarship class program is PT Timah Tbk's commitment to supporting the improvement of the quality of Human Resources in the mining circle. The presence of a scholarship class program that began in 2000 has graduated around 851 alumni.
Not surprisingly, every scholarship class program opened by PT Timah Tbk in the new academic year is always being attacked, even though this program is only limited to students who excel but are economically disadvantaged.
The existence of the PT Timah Tbk Scholarship Class Program is really felt by the community and the Education Office because it has supported children's education. As stated by the Head of the Karimun Regency Education Office, Sugianto.
Sugianto said that his party really appreciated the PT Timah Tbk scholarship class program because it was very good. This program provides an opportunity for students from Karimun Regency to study at SMAN 1 Pemali.
"We, from the Regional Government of Karimun Regency, especially from the Education and Culture Office, would like to express our deepest gratitude to PT. Timah, who has programmed this activity, thus providing an opportunity for junior high school students in the Karimun district to receive scholarships at SMA Negeri 1 Pemali Bangka. ,” he said.
