Together with PT Timah Tbk, HIMATA UBB held the Depati Amir Mining Competition IV

PANGKALPINANG - The Mining Student Association (HIMATA), Department of Mining Engineering, Faculty of Science and Engineering, Bangka Belitung University, held the 'Depati Amir Mining Competition (DAMC) IV' activity.

The activity, which was carried out from June 24 to June 29, aimed to apply the theory obtained in lectures, as well as to demonstrate the real contribution of the Department of Mining Engineering, Bangka Belitung University to the community and Regional Government.

"The aim of this activity is about the downstreaming of tin minerals, as well as things in Bangka Belitung, such as Field Trips, National Seminars and Competitions," said the chairman of the Perdana Putra Yoga Committee.

With this activity, he hopes that a relationship can be established between the participants and the company, as well as a new experience for the participants when taking part in this activity.

Yoga also said that the participants who took part in the DAMC IV activity were students from all campuses in Indonesia, including Bangka Belitung University, Trisakti University, Jambi State University, Padang State University, Bandung Islamic University, and SIA Koala University.

"DAMC is an activity once every two years, of course this is one of the activities that the participants are eagerly waiting for," he said.

He said that the collaboration and contribution provided by PT Timah really helped them in organizing this activity.

"With the assistance from PT Timah, it certainly really helps us in organizing activities. "Because this is a national activity that has a lot of funding needs, we are very happy with this assistance from PT Timah," he said.

In the future, he hopes that PT Timah can continue to collaborate with them to organize various activities. (*)
