BELITUNG - To support the art community who are members of Warung Kopi Janggut, Tanjung Pandan, Belitung Regency in preserving the art of music, PT Timah Tbk handed over a contrabass or double bass musical instrument.
This assistance supports tourism in Belitung because the Janggut Coffee Shop is also a tourist destination.
The Janggut coffee shop is unique, namely, poetry readings that are performed every time a new customer arrives, plus there is also musical entertainment.
Musical instruments will be used to support artists entertaining visitors at the coffee shop.
The owner of the Janggut coffee shop, Ngadiran appreciates PT Timah Tbk's assistance because it will be helpful for them as a community of artists in the Janggut coffee community.
"Thank you to PT Timah Tbk for providing this bass assistance, which is very useful," said Ngadiran.
According to Ngadiran, the tool will also be lent to Belitung artists if anyone wants to use it later.
He explained that they had never asked for the tool, but this was a form of PT Timah Tbk's support in helping Belitung artists continue to work.
Moreover, before they did not have a musical instrument.
"We appreciate this assistance to us and we have three streams of music here, namely keroncong, single organ, and acoustic," he explained.
Ngadiran added that the contrabass instrument is usually used for keroncong genres, but does not rule out the possibility of jazz.
