PANGKALPINANG -- To improve the implementation of the Mining Safety Management System (MSMS) for business partners, PT Timah held
Minerba MSMS Implementation Certification for Mining Services Companies (PJP).
This MSMS Implementation Certification is intended for PT Timah's business partners in the North Bangka and South Bangka Regions which will be held at Tins Gallery, on 29 July-3 August 2024.
This activity was attended virtually by the Director of Operations and Production of PT Timah Nur Adi Kuncoro and the Director of Engineering and Environment/Chief Mining Inspector of the Directorate General of Mineral and Coal, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Ir Hendra Gunawan.
Not only that, the Head of the North Bangka Region, Benny Pahala Hutahaean, also attended the activity which was attended by 36 participants who were business partners of PT Timah.
This activity is a form of compliance with the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Regulation No. 26 of 2018. This regulation requires all mining companies to implement MSMS and carry out annual audits which must be reported.
Through this audit, the aim is to ensure that mining partners also meet the established safety standards. This training is divided into two main stages, implementation and audit.
After following these two stages, participants will be tested by the Professional Certification Institute (PCI) to assess their competency. If declared competent, they will receive certification as auditors.
"PT Timah Tbk continues to improve and be concerned not only with its own operational activities as an IUP holder but also improves and improves the existing system, in particular, it also participates in encouraging PJPs as SIUJP holders who are active in PT Timah's Operational IUP to implement MSMS," said Nur Adi in his speech.
Meanwhile, Benny Hutahaean added, that in the future through this MSMS implementation training, the level of work safety in mining service companies can increase significantly.
"This program is the first program carried out with the hope that in the future our partners can be more independent so that the K3 culture in mining in their companies will improve," added Benny.
Meanwhile, the person in charge of operations at CV Abadi Sejahtera, Adi Maulana, said that this activity is very useful for increasing knowledge about the world of mining considering the large risks that can occur.
"Hopefully this activity can continue in the future, not just now. "This is because this activity provides useful knowledge to reduce risks when working in mining and creates auditors in Mining Services Companies," said Adi. (*)
