To Alleviate Medical Expenses for Residents, PT Timah Provides Medical Aid Assistance to Residents of South Bangka

SOUTH BANGKA - Two residents of Dusun Air Bulang, Keposang Village, South Bangka Regency received medical aid assistance from PT Timah. This assistance is PT Timah's effort to alleviate the medical expenses of residents.

The medical aid assistance was handed over by the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Division Staff of PT Timah, Shindu Dhahono Putro, accompanied by the Head of Dusun Air Bulang, Sarijo, to Kaim (49) and Martini (57) on Friday (16/2/2024).

Kaim's wife, Adeni, expressed her gratitude, stating that she was initially perplexed by the high medical expenses, but thanks to PT Timah's assistance, Kaim is now undergoing treatment.

"We are very grateful for the assistance from PT Timah for my husband's medical expenses. Thank you to PT Timah for helping us with the paperwork so that we could receive this assistance," she said.

She recounted that her husband fell ill after burning wood in the forest, and that night the skin on his thigh peeled off.

"That evening, my husband chopped wood in the forest and then burned the wood. And that night, suddenly, the skin on his right thigh turned red and peeled off like this," she explained.

Sainudin, Martini's husband, who also received assistance from PT Timah, also expressed his gratitude. His wife has been bedridden for over a year, needing assistance to stand and using a cane when walking.

"Now, thankfully, my wife can sit and walk, although she still needs assistance. It used to be difficult for her to sit because only bones and skin remained. I felt sad seeing her condition at that time," he shared.

Various efforts were made for his wife's recovery, including undergoing medical treatment. He appreciates PT Timah for assisting with his wife's medical expenses.

"Thank you to PT Timah, may PT Timah's business continue to prosper, grow, and continue to help the community, especially the residents of Dusun Air Bulang," he hoped. (*)
