TINS Posts IDR 300 Billion Net Profit in H1 2025

Jakarta, July 31, 2025 – PT TIMAH Tbk (“the Company”; IDX: TINS) today announced its Consolidated Financial Statements for the period ended June 30, 2025.

Tin prices in the first half of 2025 showed a stabilizing trend after experiencing significant volatility in early 2025. Tin prices on the London Metal Exchange (LME) were still supported by tight stocks and limited supply due to the Man Maw mine in Myanmar being offline until August, and the Pulau Indah smelter in Malaysia not yet operating at full capacity. Additionally, Indonesian tin exports showed a significant recovery, rising 177% in the first six months of this year compared to the same period in 2024.

Global demand for tin, particularly from the electronics industry (such as tin solder and tin chemicals), remained strong. This was mainly driven by the needs of the Japanese and Chinese markets. However, uncertainty regarding U.S. trade tariff policies could put pressure on global demand. Nevertheless, tin prices remained stable due to resilient global demand, despite potential fluctuations caused by geopolitical factors and supply limitations. As of June 2025, tin stocks in LME warehouses stood at 2,220 tons, down 53.3% from the beginning of 2025, which stood at 4,760 tons.

According to CRU Tin Monitor, global tin production in H1 2025 grew by 10.5% (YoY), reaching 192,611 tons. Meanwhile, global tin consumption in H1 2025 increased by 3.9% (YoY), amounting to 191,163 tons.
