KARIMUN – With the establishment of the Adipura Monument, Karimun Regence has a new tourism icon in their coastal area. This monument combined with the tin’s monument standing tall with its shades of blue beautifies the Kota Baru area, which is under development by the Karimun Regency Government.
To carve the history of PT Timah Tbk’s attendance in Karimun Regency, Riau Islands Province, PT Timah Tbk built an Adipura Monument in this area. The monument which showing dredge bowl ornament made this monument became a new tourism icon for local and national tourists because of its uniqueness.
This monument was built in 2019 and finished at the end of 2020 cost around Rp 1,6 Billion. The monument’s construction is a form of PT Timah Tbk’s commitment to supporting the area’s tourism and construction.
The shape of this monument is a term of meaning and philosophy depicting synergize collaboration between PT Timah with Karimun’s Regency Government so that the public knows how beautiful and clean Karimun Regency is. PT Timah Tbk built the monument at the beach’s coast as the form of this appreciation.
This monument was legally handed over on Sunday (13/9/2021) by PT Timah to Karimun Regency’s Government. It was handed over by PT Timah’s Director of Finance Risk Management Wibisono to Karimun’s Regent Aunur Rafiq who was also attending the Regional Leadership Coordination Establishment Forum (Forkopimda).
Karimun's Regent Aunur Rafiq appreciated PT Timah Tbk for supporting the local government in building this area and make a new tourism icon in Karimun. He mentioned, in the future, this area will be a new getaway to get into Karimun.
The construction of the Adipura monument is a history that should always be remembered, about how Karimun has three times achieved the Adipura Kirana award and that PT Timah Tbk ever operated in Karimun.
“The presence of this monument will be a reminder for us and future generations that Karimu achieved 3 Adipura Kirana awards and has become a decent city to be invested and visited. This monument would also remind us about PT Timah Tbk, represented by Adipura’s Monument shape of a dredge bowl, just like in a dredger.
He said the presence of PT Timah Tbk in the Karimun Regency has given a positive contribution to local economic growth. He hoped in the future, collaboration with PT Timah Tbk can keep on synergizing in developing the area.
“Thank you to PT Timah Tbk for synergizing with the Local Government. The presence of PT Timah has given a multiplier effect to the local community. Hopefully, PT Timah can keep on existing and provide their CSR,” he stated.
Meanwhile, PT Timah Tbk’s Finance and Risk Management Director Wibisono expressed his appreciation to Karimun Regency for successfully achieved Adipura Kirana.
“Congratulations to Karimun Regency for achieving Adipura Kirana award the times in a row. This city is a very decent city to visit and invest in. PT Timah is also encouraging economic growth by operating in this regency, giving a multiplier effect to the economical state,” said Wibisono in his greeting.
This inauguration and handover event was attended by PT Timah Tbk’s Finance and Risk Management Director Wibisono, G.M Kepri and Riau Ebi Wibisana, Karimun’s Regent Aunur Rafiq, Chairman of Parliament M.Yusuf Surat, AKBP Karimun Police Chief Tony Pantano, Navy Commander Lieutenant Colonel (P) Puji Basuki, and Military District 0317/TBK Commander Infranty Corps Lieutenant Colonel Agus Rediyanto.
