Tins Green Garden is Like a Forest in the Middle of the City, Residents Can Exercise while Enjoying the Beauty of the Garden

PANGKALPINANG -- The beautiful and calm atmosphere is the first impression when you come to Taman Hijau Timah or TINS ??Green Garden Foresttree, which is located in the PT Timah Tbk Housing Complex, Bukit Baru, Pangkalpinang City.

Various types of towering trees, such as baseball bohon, buni trees and tamarind make this area shady. The trees that have grown and have become large in size present a green grove like a forest in the middle of the city.

TINS Green Garden Foresttree is a facility that can be accessed by the public for free. This area also has a tree house for various types of birds such as pigeons. Apart from birds, there are also other animals such as chickens.

The variety of flora and fauna in this area makes the atmosphere more refreshing, no wonder this area can also be an interesting photo spot.

This green area in an open space managed by PT Timah Tbk is one of the most popular playgrounds for residents to relax with their family and exercise.

In addition to having a jogging track, various sports facilities are also available in the middle of the park such as a mini stepper, leg muscle tightening device. This facility
visitors can use to maintain physical fitness.

No less exciting, this area also provides play facilities for children such as tire jumping, seesaw, swing, and various other playing facilities.

This park also has a water tank from the Dutch era which is still used to drain water to PT Timah Tbk Housing.

Ira, a resident of Girimiya, Pangkalpinang City, said that she often brings her family to relax in Bukit Baru Park to exercise or enjoy time in the afternoon.

"Kids love to come here because there are toys and the atmosphere is calm, they can also exercise. Usually they come here in the afternoon while exercising too. It's free but well-maintained. We who come here must also take care of it," she said.

She hopes that in the future this park can continue to be open to the public, because many residents also use this park as a children's playground.

"Back when Covid-19 was closed, hopefully it can continue to be open so we can enjoy this beautiful place," she said.

Similarly, Ana, a resident of Gandaria, said she was happy to come to this park because she could exercise for free.

"If you often come here on the weekends, you can exercise and relax at the same time," she said.
