PANGKALPINANG -- President Director of PT TIMAH Tbk, Restu Widiyantoro, inaugurated the Children’s Playground “Tins Green Garden Foresttree” located in the Bukit Baru Complex, Pangkalpinang City, on Wednesday (February 4, 2026).
The Tins Green Garden Foresttree Children’s Playground developed by PT TIMAH Tbk is designed as a green open space that functions not only as a recreational and sports area, but also as a place for education and social interaction for children and families.
The inauguration was also attended by PT TIMAH Tbk Director of Operations Handy Geniardi, division heads within PT TIMAH Tbk, and members of the community.
During the event, Restu Widiyantoro also inaugurated several new facilities in the area, including a lake equipped with children’s play rides, the AT TIN prayer room, new restrooms, gazebos, and other supporting amenities, marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a traditional rice cone cutting.
The Tins Green Garden Foresttree playground area is equipped with a jogging track consisting of three lanes covering 685 square meters, a 780-square-meter lake, a 16-square-meter prayer room, restrooms, trash bins, 22 sports facilities, water rides such as canoes, paddle boats, and small boats, as well as children’s play equipment including swings, spider nets, balance boards, seesaws, rope bridges, and gazebos.
The Tins Green Garden Foresttree Children’s Playground is part of the company’s contribution to creating a safe, healthy, and child-friendly environment where children can play freely while learning to care for the environment from an early age.
PT TIMAH Tbk considers the presence of child-friendly green open spaces to be an important need in urban areas. In addition to providing proper play spaces, this facility is also expected to become a gathering place for families and help improve the quality of the surrounding environment.
President Director of PT TIMAH Tbk, Restu Widiyantoro, stated that Tins Green Garden Foresttree is open to the public and can be used for family recreation and sports activities.
“This park can be used together, but we must maintain cleanliness and order because it is meant to be shared, whether for exercise or recreation,” he said.
Looking ahead, Restu added that PT TIMAH Tbk will continue to improve the facilities in this area to make it easier for the community to carry out activities at Tins Green Garden Foresttree.
Tins Green Garden Foresttree has become one of the community’s favorite sports locations, as shared by Flora, a resident of Sumberejo, who said she often exercises there because it is safe and comfortable.
“I often come here to exercise because the atmosphere is green, well maintained, and there are various sports facilities. I hope it remains open to the public so we can continue to exercise here. Thank you to PT TIMAH Tbk for providing this open space for the community,” she said.
One of the children playing in the area, Azalika, said she is very happy with the playground facilities, especially with the addition of the lake and water rides.
“I’m happy to play here in the afternoon. It’s fun, and there are new games,” said the five-year-old.
