TINS Directors Work On-Site in Production Areas to Ensure Production Targets are Me

PANGKALPINANG -- PT Timah Tbk continues its efforts to meet production targets and improve mining and corporate governance as a positive response to recent legal enforcement and a committed attempt to achieve the production targets set out in the Work Plan and Budget (RKAP). This initiative is a key part of TINS management’s strategy to address global challenges, especially in improving tin governance.

Recently, TINS management officially launched the "Directors Working On-Site" program. The program aims to maximize production to reach targets, enhance employee welfare, and foster closer ties between management and employees in the company's production areas, ensuring that all obstacles are optimally addressed.

The Directors Working On-Site program also aims to motivate employees to work more productively to meet year-end targets, ultimately benefiting employee welfare. Additionally, the program facilitates directors, as policy makers, in monitoring whether policies are being effectively implemented, allowing for immediate solutions to any challenges encountered.

PT Timah's Human Resources Director, Hendra Kusuma Wardhana, who initiated this program with Kundur as the first on-site office, stated, "This program is an effort to foster good communication between management and employees. It is solely aimed at increasing employee productivity to meet the production targets in the RKAP, which will positively impact employee welfare."

“This is a beneficial program where each director makes the production area their home base, fostering good communication between management as policymakers and employees, allowing them to see firsthand if established policies are working well. This initiative is entirely focused on supporting production to achieve RKAP targets, enhancing employee welfare," he added.

Wardhana mentioned that this program will continue through the end of 2024, with the hope that the 2024 production target will be met and employees will benefit from the results. “We will certainly evaluate it. If the on-site working program has a positive impact, there is a strong possibility it could be continued into next year. This program is different from routine management visits,” he added.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the Timah Employees Union, Riki Febriansyah, expressed his appreciation for the Directors Working On-Site program initiated by management. "Hopefully, this program will run well, allowing directors to receive positive input from employees in production areas, fostering unity and teamwork in driving the company forward, achieving the 2024 production target, and boosting employee productivity, which ultimately benefits their welfare," he hoped.

Management expects all employees to increase productivity to reach production targets, stay agile, and adapt to any changes that come. (*)
