KARIMUN -- Slowly but surely, the Timah Archery Club (TAC) Kundur fostered by PT Timah Tbj continues to make achievements in various championships.
After almost two years of absence from participating in the tournament due to the covid -19 pandemic, however, TAC Kundur members have not stopped practicing to be able to excel.
TAC Kundur succeeded in achieving achievements in the two events that followed. At the 5th Porprov in Bintan, members of TAC Kundur got a Bronze medal in the Barebow class, while at the Bintan Archery Festival (BAF) they won a Bronze medal in the 30 m General National class.
The chairman of TAC Kundur, Febri Sumantri expressed his appreciation to the members of TAC Kundur who brought home the Bronze medal.
"This is just the beginning and an encouragement to continue to excel," explained Febri.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, according to Febri, many championships were postponed and canceled so that the mentality of the athletes also declined.
"Hopefully, with the Covid-19 pandemic under control, there will be many tournaments that can be held. So that we can take part in the event to help members hone skills and mentally forge a match so they are not nervous when in the arena," he said.
With this result, Febri invites all TAC Kundur to continue practicing, not forgetting that Febri also invites the public to participate in developing this sport.
