PT TIMAH Tbk together with Bangka Belitung Flora and Fauna Preservation Foundation (ALOBI) and KSDA South Sumatera, Saturday, 4 May 2019, released some animals that were handed over by society and KSDA South Sumatera. There are 4 eagles and one slow loris to be released to live freely in the nature, in Bangka Island Outdoor (BIO) area.
Not only PT Timah, Directorate General of Law Enforcement of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (Gakkum KLH), Director of Biodiversity Conservation (KKH), Director of PT PLN, Directorate General of Natural Resources Conservation in South Sumatra, Forest Management Unit (KPH Bubus Panca) Bangka Belitung, Bangka Belitung Forest Service and Head of BAPPEDA were all participated in this activity as well.
The eagle released namely 3 types of Bondol (haliastur indus) which are given by Balai KSDA Sumsel, one eagle of WBSE type (haliaeetus leucogaster) which is from the society, and one slow loris (nycticebus bancanus) which is also handed over from the public.
According to Head of the ALOBI, Langka Sani, since its establishment in 2013, his foundation has released 1.448 animals into their habitat.*
