PANGKALPINANG -- President Director of PT Timah Tbk Ahmad Dani Virsal with the Bangka Belitung Regional Police Chief Inspector General Pol Yan Southeast Sulawesi signed an addendum to the Memorandum of Understanding between PT Timah Tbk and the Babel Regional Police concerning Security and Law Enforcement of PT Timah Tbk's National Vital Objects and Subsidiaries, at Griya Timah, Wednesday (30/8/2023).
This cooperation is one of the forms and efforts of PT Timah Tbk to increase security for Obvitnas including the company's concession area.
President Director of PT Timah Tbk, Ahmad Dani Virsal said the signing of this addendum was the company's effort to increase security in the company's concession area.
Moreover, he said, currently, the issue of tin mining is in the national spotlight so it must be carried out in a conducive and orderly manner so that it can provide optimal benefits for the nation and state.

"Thank you to the Regional Police of Babel, who came today to sign an addendum to the cooperation in securing PT Timah Tbk's IUP area both at sea and on land," he said.
Dani said that currently, PT Timah Tbk is optimizing various concession areas for operations in order to increase the company's production.
"Almost all areas we operate from north to south. All potential areas we try to work as much as possible including new areas with the aim of increasing benefits for the nation, state and society," he said.
He hopes that after the signing of this Memorandum of Understanding can support PT Timah Tbk in increasing the company's production.
"Hopefully this collaboration can make PT Timah Tbk's production even better, of course with the support of the Babel Regional Police," he said.
Meanwhile, Babel Regional Police Chief Inspector General Pol Yan Southeast Sulawesi said that his party was ready to support PT Timah Tbk's operations so that it could support the increase in the company's production.
"Through this addendum, we continue to increase cooperation. Especially assisting PT Timah Tbk in terms of securing and increasing production. From the beginning we are committed to helping so that PT Timah Tbk can exist and production continues to increase," he said.
According to him, with this Addendum, his party can be more intense in carrying out security duties. Apart from that, it is also looking for solutions for gaps that can interfere with security.
"With this collaboration, security is more intense and we will correct any deficiencies. Because we have a commitment to really back up PT Timah Tbk so that things that are lacking in security can be backed up," he said.
It is undeniable, especially in Babel that there are lots of illegal mining that could harm PT Timah Tbk.
"Because we see the rise of illegal mining. It is possible that it will spread to PT Timah Tbk, with this addendum in the future it will be even better so that the security of assets and production will be even better. This is one of our efforts to improve the security of PT Timah Tbk's concessions. "Hopefully the production will be even better," he said. (*)
