Through the Foster Partner Program, PT Timah Tbk Helps Veny Maintain and Grow a Business that Has Been Running for 35 Years

EAST BELITUNG - Veny Febrianti has managed to maintain a hereditary business that has been running for 35 years. In fact, he was even able to develop a new business after becoming a fostered partner of PT Timah Tbk.

Veny Febrianti's business started as a food business, and now it has developed into a clothing business at the Gantung Traditional Market, Block B Number 27, Gantung District, East Belitung.

She said that the business was founded 35 years ago by his family, and over time the food business was developed into selling clothes.

"The initial idea of ??developing a business was to sell clothes, from the many who were looking for and who asked to provide clothes or clothing," said Veny Febrianti.

According to her, besides selling clothes or clothes, he still maintains his initial business, namely Lontong and spices.

She mentioned, his business journey was smooth and running well until now.

"Alhamdulillah it went well, sales of this spice and rice cake are quite good," she said.

The test of his business occurred in 2017 when floods hit Gantung and its surroundings. At that time, there were many clothes that could not be sold, so she needed a lot of money to raise capital so he could get back on her feet.

"At this time we are getting the first capital from PT Timah Tbk to re-develop its business after the disaster," she explained.

She was grateful, during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2021 when all businesses were quiet and many were closed, they got another loan from PT Timah Tbk, to revive their business.

"We are also developing our business and adding variety with PT Timah Tbk's additional working capital," she explained.

Veny also explained, it currently gets around IDR 300 to 500 thousand per day in turnover. Therefore, she hopes that PT Timah Tbk will continue to assist them in developing their business.

"We hope that PT Timah Tbk will continue to help develop our business so that we can open branches in other locations," she said. (*)
