PANGKALPINANG -- To commemorate its 49th Anniversary, PT Timah held a Decluttering activity as a form of social care by distributing usable items to communities and children in orphanages.
This Decluttering action collected 1.3 tons of usable items donated by PT Timah Tbk employees across all operational areas, gathered between July and August.
The items collected included clothing, shoes, toys, and books, which were distributed to those in need, including orphanages within the company’s operational areas.
One of the orphanages receiving the donation was Adh Dhuhaa Orphanage in Gerunggang District, Pangkalpinang, on Thursday (September 12, 2025).
The administrator of Adh Dhuhaa Orphanage, Ina, expressed that the donations of usable items were very meaningful to them.
“We are grateful for PT Timah’s concern. The donated items will be sorted first, especially the clothing for girls so that it complies with religious guidelines. Any items that we cannot use will be passed on to other communities in need,” she said.
She also hoped that PT Timah would continue to be present and contribute to supporting the community.
“I hope PT Timah will keep providing assistance to those in need. We are thankful that PT Timah cares about the children at Adh Dhuhaa Orphanage,” she added.
Currently, Adh Dhuhaa Orphanage cares for 35 children between the ages of 8 and 19. Their daily routines include religious education, school, and evening study activities. Support from parties such as PT Timah is considered very helpful in meeting their needs.

In addition to distributing donations to orphanages, PT Timah also shared the decluttered items with other communities in need, with the hope that these usable goods could be utilized optimally and help ease the burden of the recipients.
This decluttering activity was part of PT Timah’s 49th Anniversary celebrations, which not only focused on internal company matters but also aimed to deliver tangible benefits to the wider community.
Through this initiative, PT Timah hopes to foster a spirit of sharing and social awareness within society. This simple act of reusing usable items is expected to inspire others to share with those in need. (*)
