Three Years in a Row, PT Timah's Men's Walking Team Won First Place in the West Bangka Regency Government Walking Competition 

WEST BANGKA -- Celebrating the 79th anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia which was held by the West Bangka Regency Government, PT Timah also sent a team to take part in the walking competition which was held on Tuesday (20/8/2024).

Not only did they participate, the PT Timah men's walking team also managed to win first place in the annual activity held to welcome the Republic of Indonesia's Independence Day.

The PT Timah Men's Walking Team achieved the highest score, namely 1392, ahead of the PDAM Walking Team with a score of 1383, and the SMANSA Scout Walking Team in third place with a score of 1380.

The achievements of the Men's Walking Team were also successful in retaining the championship title for three consecutive years in the Indonesian Independence Day Walking Competition organized by the West Bangka Regency Government.

Commander of the PT Timah Men's Walking Team, Raja Rico, said that the achievement of winning first place was thanks to diligent training, team cohesion, and support from PT Timah leadership.

"Thank God, the team's success in winning first place was thanks to the disciplined training carried out so far, the team's cohesion, and support from the leadership to follow the walk," he said.

The coach of the Men's Walking Team, Frans Guniawan, said he was proud of the success of the PT Timah Men's Walking Team in winning the championship.

"We are proud that for three years in a row, our friends have always won first place in the West Bangka Regency Government Republic of Indonesia Anniversary walking competition.
"Effort, hard work, and discipline during training have yielded results, congratulations to my friends who have made PT Timah proud," said Frans.

Not only that, the Timah Employees Wives Association (IIKT) also participated in this walking competition and participated in the walking competition held by the West Bangka Regency Government. (*)
