Three Villages in West Bangka Receive Help from PT Timah Tbk to Hold a Competition to Commemorate RI's 78th Anniversary

WEST BANGKA -- The vibrancy of the commemoration of the 78th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia was felt in remote areas. The community holds various Augustan activities which are held once a year. Not to forget, PT Timah Tbk participated in supporting this National Holiday Commemoration (PHBN) activity.

PT Timah Tbk supports PHBN activities carried out in several areas in West Bangka Regency such as in Belo Laut, Muntok District, in Tempilang Village and in Pangek Village, Simpang Teritip District.

This PHBN activity, which is supported by PT Timah Tbk, is a people's party activity and various competitions typical of August 17.

Chair of the PHBN Dusun IV Committee, Belo Laut village, Mentok sub-district, Eka said that assistance from PT Timah Tbk was used to organize various competitions such as games for children and competitions for adults.

According to Eka, every year PT Timah Tbk often provides PHBN assistance, apart from that, it also provides other assistance.

"Every year PT Timah always helps PHBN activities, not only that, PT Timah also provides basic food assistance to residents and sacrificial animals to mosques," he said.

Likewise, in Tempilang Village, assistance from PT Timah Tbk will support community competition activities.

"The assistance from PT Timah Tbk will be used to increase funds for organizing the Indonesian Independence Day games competition," said the Head of PHBN Tempilang Village, Ponidi.

Meanwhile, in Simpang Teritip sub-district, PT Timah also helped implement the PHBN in Pangek Village.

"On behalf of the village government and the residents of Pangek village, we would like to thank PT Timah for its assistance and support in carrying out this year's PHBN competition in Pangek village. We hope that this synergy will continue to be established, PT Timah will be even more successful," said Pangek Village Secretary, Sapro. (*)
