PANGKALPINANG -- PT Dok dan Perkapalan Air Kantung (PT DAK), a subsidiary of PT TIMAH Tbk, continues to play an active role in the national maritime industry through its dockyard and shipyard services. Over the past three decades, PT DAK has supported sea transportation activities and the shipbuilding industry across various regions.
This was conveyed by PT DAK Director Daswir Syarif during the company’s 30th anniversary celebration, which carried the theme “Growing Together,” at a reception held at the PT DAK Shipyard in Selindung on Monday (January 2, 2026).
To mark three decades of its journey, PT DAK organized various social and internal company activities, such as a mass blood donation drive, awards for senior employees, and the distribution of Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) assistance to schools and orphanages in Bangka Belitung and Lombok.
The 30th anniversary reception was attended by PT TIMAH Tbk Production Director Handy Geniardi, PT TIMAH Tbk Business Development Director Suhendra Yusuf Ratuprawiranegara, Acting President Director of PT DAK Daswir Syarif, along with members of the Board of Directors and Commissioners of PT DAK, employees, and aid recipients.
On this occasion, PT TIMAH Tbk Production Director Handy Geniardi expressed his hope that PT DAK will continue to improve its competitiveness and performance as the company matures.
“The 30th anniversary should be seen as an important moment to foster new enthusiasm and move forward to become more advanced, more solid, and more adaptive in facing future challenges,” he said.
Handy also encouraged all parties to continue strengthening synergy and collaboration to realize a sustainable future for the company.
Meanwhile, Acting President Director of PT DAK, Daswir Syarif, stated that 30 years of operations represent a long phase filled with challenges, learning experiences, and continuous adaptation.
He emphasized that PT DAK’s 30-year journey cannot be separated from the support of PT TIMAH Tbk. According to him, the synergy that has been built so far has become an important foundation in maintaining the company’s business sustainability.
“PT DAK’s 30-year journey has been strongly supported by PT TIMAH Tbk. I hope that the collaboration that has been established will grow even stronger in the future,” he said.
During the 30th anniversary celebration, he also expressed appreciation to all employees and stakeholders who have actively contributed to the company’s journey.
“I would like to thank our customers who have entrusted their vessels to PT DAK. My highest appreciation also goes to all PT DAK employees who have dedicated themselves to maintaining the company’s sustainability,” he added.
