The event brought the community together under the theme “For the Red and White,” featuring a 3-kilometer Fun Walk, group Zumba sessions, hundreds of prizes, and live entertainment, all met with enthusiastic participation.

In addition to celebrating with the community, the 49th Anniversary of PT Timah also included a blood donation drive, which received an equally warm response from residents.

The Healthy Week event in Belinyu was attended by PT Timah’s Director of Operations and Production, Nur Adi Kuncoro; PT Timah Commissioner, Rizani Usman; Acting Head of the Bangka Regency Education, Youth, and Sports Office, Yudi Aprizal; Belinyu Subdistrict Head, Lingga Pranata; and Belinyu Police Chief, Singgih Aditya Utama.

Previously, PT Timah had held a ceremony and thanksgiving event for its 49th anniversary on August 2, 2025. Healthy Week events have also been held in Kundur, East Belitung, and Mentok in West Bangka Regency.

Beyond the sports and health activities, some residents joined in the fun by wearing creative costumes, including outfits made from recycled materials.

PT Timah’s Director of Operations and Production, Nur Adi Kuncoro, said that Healthy Week is a moment to celebrate PT Timah’s 49th anniversary, welcome the 80th anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia, and share joy with communities in the company’s operational areas.

“This year’s anniversary theme is ‘For the Red and White.’ This moment also enlivens the 80th anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia. Red symbolizes our courage to move forward together without hesitation for PT Timah’s glory, while white reflects sincerity in collaboration, cooperation, and sharing for a better future,” he said.

He expressed his appreciation for the enthusiasm and participation of the community in Healthy Week.

“The anniversary series has been held in several areas, and today it is being held in Belinyu. This is a form of synergy between PT Timah and the communities in its operational areas. We also seek the community’s support so PT Timah can continue to contribute to the nation, the country, and the people,” he said.

Meanwhile, PT Timah Commissioner Rizani Usman stated that Healthy Week is part of the company’s contribution to the community. He hopes that residents will continue to support PT Timah so it can further increase its contributions.

“This Healthy Week is PT Timah’s way of showing its dedication to the community as part of its 49th anniversary celebrations. PT Timah is approaching half a century. We hope for the support of all community members so that PT Timah can strengthen its role and contributions to this region,” he said.

Acting Head of the Bangka Regency Education, Youth, and Sports Office, Yudi Aprizal, also expressed appreciation to PT Timah for its role in improving the welfare of local communities.

“Happy 49th anniversary to PT Timah. This marks a long journey of PT Timah contributing to the welfare of the people in Bangka Regency. With the ‘For the Red and White’ spirit promoted by PT Timah, we are reminded to uphold unity and harmony in improving community welfare through cooperation and solidarity,” he said.

He added that the event also aims to promote healthy living among residents.

“The fun walk and Zumba activities are meant to maintain health, strengthen social bonds, and encourage a healthy lifestyle. This event is not just ceremonial—it’s about sharing happiness with the people of Bangka Regency. We hope PT Timah will continue to work with local governments in running sustainable mining practices and preserving the environment,” he said.

Lufi, a resident of Gunung Muda, said she was very excited to join PT Timah’s Healthy Week, arriving early in the morning with her friends.

“Yes, I was very excited because it’s the weekend, and with the fun walk and Zumba, we can exercise too. If lucky, we might win prizes. This event is so much fun and something residents look forward to. I hope PT Timah keeps holding activities like this,” she said.

The Belinyu Healthy Week was made even livelier with an MSME bazaar featuring dozens of local businesses from Bangka Regency, as well as hundreds of prizes, including 10 grand prizes of motorcycles.

Before the Healthy Week event, PT Timah also held a “Service Month” in the Belinyu Subdistrict, which included blood donation, mass circumcision, and free medical checkups last week.
