The Turnover of MSME Players in East Belitung Multiplied, Splashed Fortune on Healthy Walks with SOEs

EAST BELITUNG - A Healthy Walk with BUMN in commemoration of the 25th Anniversary of BUMN at Nyiur Melambai Beach Manggar, East Belitung Regency (Beltim) brings blessings to MSME players.

This is because as many as 20 Beltim UMKM booths were involved in the agenda on Sunday (19/2/2033) yesterday. Not only did it bring blessings to the MSME actors who were at the stand, but other traders also got lucky.

Even though the Bazaar was only held for half a day, the turnover of MSME players was very satisfying.

One of them is the MSME actor, Sri Purwanti, who sells processed fish products, namely otak-otak, and has started to work on it since 2017, saying that her turnover has increased dramatically.

"It is very helpful in marketing our business so that people know about the products we sell," said the resident of Jalan Numpang Empat, Mekar Jaya Village, Manggar District.

According to Sri Purwati, the addition and increase in turnover at the bazaar are proof that the MSME bazaar agenda has had a positive impact on them.

"Thank God, the turnover increased for that day to Rp. 2 million a day, while on normal days it was only around Rp. 700,000," she explained.

Therefore, the support of SOEs such as PT Timah Tbk and other SOEs is very beneficial for MSME players.

"The support is very good and really helps us as partners of PT Timah Tbk and hope that BUMN can promote the products of their partners," she said.

In the same vein, MSME actor Eska Prihatin is happy with the healthy walk with BUMN, because they are invited to market their products at the bazaar.

"Very helpful. Previously, people did not know about products, for example, Es Teler Pawon Ndeso, now they know," she said.

She also added that the MSME bazaar activities they participated in really helped increase their business turnover, which was around Rp. 2.5 million, while on normal days it was around Rp. 1 million.

"The support is good enough, and coaching is further enhanced, more training and mentoring so that there are no limitations from what were previously small to medium micro MSMEs so that they can finally reach the upper middle class," she explained.

She hopes that SOEs in Belitung or Beltim will regularly provide platforms to support them in promoting their products.

"Our hope is that SOEs can routinely hold activity events, so that we, the small community, can advance MSMEs together, so that MSMEs are upgraded and can boost the economy, especially in East Belitung," she said.
