EAST BELITUNG - PT Timah Tbk's Selinsing Reclamation Village, located in Selinsing Village, Hanging District, became the location for planting 300 seeds of cashew, fir, durian, and stocking 3,000 fish seedlings, Monday (3/10/2022).
The agenda is a series of commemorating the 77th Anniversary of the TNI in 2022 in East Belitung.
The activity was led directly by the Commander of the Belitung Kodim 0414 Lieutenant Colonel Inf Hairil Achmad together with the East Belitung Regent Burhanudin.
The theme this time is "Reforestation movement for critical lands "Green Blue, Babel Ku" Unite to protect the environment in order to welcome the 77th Anniversary of the 2022 FY "The TNI is Us".
The Commander of the Belitung Kodim 0414 Lieutenant Colonel Hairil Achmad said the selection of the location for the Selinsing Reclamation Camp of PT Timah Tbk as the location for reforestation was because the location could be more conceptualized and coordinated.
"We chose this location, it can be monitored more, because PT Timah Tbk has a reforestation program," said Dandim Lt. Col. Hairil Achmad.
According to the Dandim, they will continue the planting in the Kodim 0414 Belitung area. Therefore they will carry out reforestation as directed by the Danrem.
"We are working with PT Timah Tbk to carry out the planting and spreading of the seeds," he explained.
The Dandim explained that the Selinsing Reclamation Village is quite good, because there are several points that can be used as new tourist spots, such as water ducks, and the land planted is also quite good.
"This can be conceptualized better and can be a tourist location, it can be a culinary place and family visits," he said.
Meanwhile, the Regent of East Belitung, Burhanudin said they supported the tree planting activity on the critical land. So he hopes the planting will be done gradually.
Also in attendance were the head of the Beltim environmental service, Head of Agriculture, Head of Tourism, Communication, and Information, Representatives of the Resort Police, Pabung AU, Head of the Hanging Sub-district, Head of the Village of Hanging District, and Scouts.
