BANGKA -- The PT Timah Tbk Fire Team at the Bangka Marine Production Unit swiftly helped extinguish the fire that occurred in Romdong Indah Village, Belinyu District, Bangka Regency, Tuesday (1/8/2023) afternoon.
PT Timah Tbk dispatched a fire engine and six personnel to extinguish the fire that occurred on the residents' land.
Bhabinkamtibmas, Romodong Indah Urban Village, Bustanul said that when he received a report from residents, he immediately contacted the PT Timah Tbk fire team.
"In Belinyu, only PT Timah Tbk has a fire engine, so if there is a fire, they will immediately contact PT Timah Tbk. The team is also alert and ready to help put out the fire," said Bustanul, Wednesday (2/8/2023).
According to him, PT Timah Tbk has often helped residents to put out the fires that occurred. He often warns people not to burn land indiscriminately.
"PT Timah Tbk's firefighting team is often relied upon to help extinguish fires. We have also reminded the public not to play with fire, especially since this is entering the dry season," he said.
He hopes that PT Timah Tbk's firefighting team can continue to assist residents in dealing with fires and can increase the number of their fleet.
"Hopefully later the fleet can be added and can continue to help the community in dealing with fires," he said.
Meanwhile, PT Timah Tbk UPLB Fire Team Coordinator, Kusamanto said, his party initially received a report from Bhabinkamtibmas about this incident.
According to him, PT Timah Tbk's UPLB Team does have two trained teams to extinguish fires.
"We received a report from Bhabinkamtibmas, the team immediately moved and was swift to extinguish the residents' land. Lowered one fire engine and six personnel," he said. (*)
