KARIMUN -- Dozens of students from the Riau Archipelago Province who took part in the 2023 Homecoming with BUMN facilitated by PT Timah Tbk have finally arrived at Kampung Halaman on Wednesday (12/4/2023).
Through an activity entitled Homecoming Expected, Homecoming Together with BUMN 2023 which was initiated by BUMN Minister Erick Thohir, PT Timah Tbk facilitated students in operational areas to be able to go home.
A student from North Kundur District, Karimun Regency, who is currently studying in Yogyakarta, admits that he is very happy and helped by the free homecoming organized by BUMN and PT Timah Tbk.
He said that apart from reducing transportation costs, he could also go home together with other colleagues who were still in the same district.
"I feel happy and helped by this Free Homecoming program with BUMN, because I can go home with friends from one village so it feels exciting," he said.
Likewise, Muhammad Ridho, a student from Meral District, Karimun Regency, who is currently studying at the Cikarang Technical University, also feels happy.
"I am very happy because I can return to my hometown together with other colleagues who are still in the same area. However, the places of study are different, so that during the trip it is not lonely and it is even more exciting to exchange experiences at each other's places," he said.
They appreciate PT Timah Tbk for facilitating them to be able to go home together. He hopes that this program can continue because it really helps the people in Perantuan to be able to go home and stay in touch with their families.
"On behalf of all students from Karimun Regency who took part in the free homecoming with BUMN, I would like to thank PT Timah for facilitating us so that we can return to our hometown together," he stated. (*)
