The Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Bangka Belitung Submits Decree of the Director General of Immigration Regarding Designation of a Special Terminal for Tin Muntok to PT Timah Tbk

PANGKALPINANG -- Head of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province Harun Sulianto submitted a Decree of the Director General of Immigration regarding the Designation of a Special Terminal for Timah Muntok PT Timah Tbk in West Bangka Regency as the Immigration Checkpoint to the Director of Operations and Production of PT Timah Tbk, Purwoko at the Office Immigration Class I Pangkalpinang, Monday (27/2/2023).

With the Decree of the Director General of Immigration regarding the Designation of a Special Terminal for Timah Muntok, PT Timah Tbk is expected to be able to support and facilitate PT Timah Tbk's export process.

Head of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province Harun Sulianto said, in addition to providing immigration services, law enforcement, and state security, Kemenkumham is also a facilitator for community welfare development.

"We hope that the Tin Special Terminal in Muntok can increase economic value for PT Timah Tbk's productivity so that it is not far and immigration officials will check there," he said.

He hopes that the existence of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights in Bangka Belitung can encourage and improve people's welfare, including supporting the operations of PT Timah Tbk.

"We hope that the presence of the Immigration Checkpoint (TPI) can help the welfare of the people of Bangka Belitung, including supporting the operations of PT Timah Tbk. So that PT Timah Tbk can continue to exist to be the pride of Bangka Belitung and Indonesia," he said.

Meanwhile, the Director of Operations and Production of PT Timah Tbk Purwoko appreciated the support from the Ministry of Law and Human Rights in supporting the company's business operations.

"Thank you for the support from the Babel and Immigration Ministry of Law and Human Rights to support PT Timah Tbk's operations, especially for exports. Of course, this Special Terminal will make it easier for PT Timah Tbk in business activities," said Purwoko.

Purwoko said that the existence of this Special Terminal is also expected to provide benefits to the community to boost the community's economy.

"With the Special Terminal in Mentok, we no longer need to export via Pangkal Balam and this can reduce operational costs. Geographically, Muntok is also strategic and with the flow of goods and people in and out, this can have an economic impact on society," he said. (**)
