EAST BELITUNG -- The excitement of PT Timah’s 49th Anniversary Month of Service was also felt by the people of Belitung Island. A series of social activities took place at the Belitung Operational Area Office (Wilasi) in Lenggang Village, Gantung District, East Belitung Regency on Thursday, July 17, 2025.
In celebration of its 49th anniversary under the theme "For the Red and White," PT Timah reaffirmed its commitment to being present among the community, offering meaningful programs as a form of care for public health and well-being.
The Month of Service activities in Belitung Island included a mass circumcision event, blood donation drive, and free healthcare services provided by PT Timah’s Mobile Health Clinic. Dozens of residents took advantage of the opportunity to receive free medical check-ups and circumcision services for their children.
One of the beneficiaries, Suhartono from Manggar, expressed his gratitude for the mass circumcision event. He said the program is a tangible form of PT Timah’s care for the community.
“I’ve been wanting to have my son circumcised for a while but couldn’t find the right time. Now, thank God, it’s free through PT Timah’s mass circumcision program. I hope PT Timah can hold even bigger events like this to help even more people,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Mobile Health Clinic also attracted the interest of the East Belitung community. Marzono, a resident who has used the service four times, shared his satisfaction with the healthcare provided.
“I’ve visited the Mobile Health Clinic four times. The services are comprehensive—I’ve had my uric acid and blood sugar levels checked. I’m very happy because the medications they provide are effective and really help someone like me in need,” he said.
PT Timah’s Department Head of Corporate Communication, Anggi Siahaan, stated that the 49th Anniversary series of activities began in Rangsang District, Riau Province, and will continue across all of the company’s operational areas.
“The 49th Anniversary celebration will include various events such as social actions, sports activities, and a health week, all held throughout the company’s operational areas,” Anggi said.
These Month of Service activities are expected to strengthen the harmony and contributions of PT Timah to the communities it serves.
Previously, the series of Month of Service events successfully held mass circumcision and blood donation drives in Riau Province, Riau Islands Province, and Jakarta.
