BANGKA – Pulau Tiga Beach, located in Air Antu Hamlet, Deniang Village, Riau Silip District, Bangka Regency, has an exotic charm. The stretch of white sand and granite is the main attraction, besides that visitors will also be presented with views of the three islands across the beach.
Because it is located not far from PT Timah Tbk's Bangka Island Outdoor Training center, this beach is also known as the BIO beach. Previously, the area managed by the Deniang Village Pokdarwis was not well maintained.
If it's low tide, visitors can walk across to visit the islands across the coast.
Not surprisingly, this beach is crowded with tourists on weekends or holidays because of the enchanting beauty of the beach.
The head of the Pokdarwis Village, Deniang Yanto, who is often called Apot, said that from 2015-2022 Pokdarwis had been in a vacuum. However, in mid-2022 they began to be active again by embracing young people to organize and clean up this tourist area.
According to Apot, at that time the condition of the beach was very dirty with lots of unorganized weeds, fallen dry branches, and visitors' trash. In addition, beach facilities such as toilets and others are also not available.
After getting a touch from PT Timah Tbk, they are more motivated to manage this beach. Various facilities and infrastructure such as huts and prayer rooms were built in this area to attract visitors.
"Currently there are five saung and one prayer room assisted by PT Timah Tbk to complete the facilities on the beach. Apart from that, the road facilities are also supported by PT Timah. Previously, the road to the beach had quite large rocks, and it disturbed tourists on their way. here," he said.
Their efforts were not in vain, because currently, the number of visitors who have come has tripled. To increase the comfort of the visitors they plan to add facilities.
The facilities you want to add are like huts because the existing huts are still lacking. Apart from that, they also rent tires so that visitors can bathe on the beach.
"Alhamdulillah, since PT Timah helped, the number of visitors has tripled from usual. Of course, this makes us more motivated to manage this beach," he said.
"For tourists, please come to Pulau Tiga beach, here you can enjoy the natural scenery which is so beautiful and beautiful, with the existing granite rocks and also the exoticism of Tiga Island," he said.
Meanwhile, Ita (27), a visitor to Pulau Tiga Beach, shared her experience when visiting the beach. According to him, he had come to this beach five times.
However, before that, he was disturbed by the road because the road conditions were very bad and there were no toilet facilities.
"If you want to invite friends here, they are less enthusiastic. And for now, I'm more confident when I invite friends here, it's recommended anyway," said Ita.
However, her recent arrival made her feel amazed. Previously, she said many already knew about this beach but were reluctant to come because of the road conditions.
“It was very different when I came today. Because in the past the road to the beach was still rocky, apart from that there were also no facilities such as gazebos and prayer rooms. And of course, now the road is getting better and the beach is getting better," she said.
According to Ita, the beautiful scenery made her visit this beach again, with a view of the three islands, as well as the shady coconut trees.
"Earlier we also took photos on this beach, later many will ask where this is. Like not in Bangka. Because I often post on Instagram, and they always ask me where it is," she said.
She didn't even expect PT Timah Tbk's role in making this beach more interesting to visit.
"The beach has always been good, coupled with several facilities that have been assisted by PT Timah, of course, it will make people more interested in visiting here. Never thought that PT Timah could help facilitate this beach to be more attractive and comfortable for the tourism sector. Cool for PT Timah, it can advance the tourism sector in Bangka," she said.
