SOUTH BANGKA -- Fishermen from Tanjung Kubu Village, South Bangka Regency plan to build a prayer room in the Tanjung Kubu coastal area to make it easier for people who want to worship.
This prayer room will not only be used as a place of worship but also for social and religious activities and for maintaining community customs.
This prayer room is also an effort to support facilities and infrastructure in the Tanjung Kubu Beach tourist area.
The head of the Tanjung Kubu Fishermen's group, Fahrorozi, said that the plan to build a prayer facility was an effort to facilitate the smooth worship of Tanjung Kubu residents.
"I hope that this construction plan can run well because this prayer room was built to facilitate the smooth worship of the residents of Tanjung Kubu, South Bangka, and to liven up the night while worshiping," he explained during the handover of aid in Tanjung Kubu Village, Wednesday (22/5/2024).
Fahrorozi further said that the plan to build a prayer room is to increase the life activities of coastal residents so that friendship is established.
"Hopefully the existence of a prayer room will increase the life activities of residents on the coast so that relationships can be established and religious customs can be taught," he said.
He appreciated PT Timah for the assistance and support it had provided to coastal residents in their area.
"We would like to thank PT Timah very much. It is clear that this assistance is very useful in realizing plans to build a prayer room which we estimate will be able to accommodate dozens of congregations," he said. (*)
