Take advantage of Free Health Services, Hundreds of Pusuk Villagers Visit PT Timah Tbk's Healthy Cars

BANGKA BARAT – Hundreds of residents of Pusuk Village took advantage of the free medical treatment program at PT Timah Tbk's Healthy Car which was held at the Pusuk Village Multipurpose Building, Friday (14/1/2022).

Residents flocked to PT Timah Tbk's Healthy Car, health services even lasted until noon. In this Healthy Car, people can not only check their health but also get health consultations. One of the residents of Pusuk Village, Hamsiah (91), even though at his age he is eager to check his health, he has complaints of leg pain which makes it a bit difficult to walk.

"I came here for treatment, it was difficult to walk with a sore leg," he said, still clearly audible.

He is happy with the health service from PT Timah Tbk's healthy car, the health service is closer and he can get medicine after being examined."It's good to have treatment here. Come here often, because here many people are sick with diabetes, blood sugar, high blood pressure and others," he said.

Similarly, Tolib (79) admitted that he deliberately checked his health, such as cholesterol, blood pressure and blood sugar. "We, who are old, want to seek treatment, check health, cholesterol, blood pressure, blood sugar. We are grateful to PT Timah for being able to help the pusuk community. We hope this program will continue and be routine," he said.

Another resident, Mahrof (67), who suffers from coronary heart disease, said he wanted to have his health checked as well as consult a doctor. "We are grateful if there is treatment here, so far we have to go to Kelapa for control once every three months to check the disease as well as consult a doctor, because it is free, of course we are happy," said Mahrof.

The Acting Head of Pusuk Village, Imron, said that the people of Pusuk Village welcomed the presence of Healthy Cars in their area. "Seeing the number of people receiving treatment has reached more than 100 people, it means that people are very enthusiastic about treatment. This shows that the level of public awareness about health is quite good," he said.

He appreciated the activities carried out by PT Timah. He also hoped that the healthy car activities could be sustainable.

“We really support this activity, especially for the distance treatment between Pusuk villages and sub-districts which are quite far away. With healthy cars, people who don't have vehicles make it easier for people to get treatment, just come here. Moreover, it is free without any requirements. We hope that in the future, it will continue to be sustainable, periodically," he continued.

Meanwhile, the Camat of Kelapa Samsiar said that the Healthy Car program was highly expected by the community. "We really support PT Timah's Healthy Car program, and indeed we really hope PT Timah's contribution to the community. Especially with the current conditions," he concluded. (**)
