WEST BANGKA – PT Timah Tbk is actively supporting the implementation of the 123rd Tentara Manunggal Masuk Desa (TMMD) program, organized by Military District Command (KODIM) 0431 West Bangka.
The 123rd TMMD program is scheduled to take place from February 19 to March 20, 2025, in Puput Village and Sekar Biru Village, Parittiga District, West Bangka Regency. This initiative is a collaborative effort involving the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), National Police (Polri), local government, community members, and PT Timah.
As part of its contribution, PT Timah donated 250 food packages to support the TMMD activities. These basic food packages were handed over at the SMKN 1 Puput football field, Parittiga District, on Wednesday (19/2/2025).

Construction of meeting halls at SMPN 1 Kapit and SMPN 3 Air Gantang, Parittiga District. Additional physical projects included Drilling five bore wells, Renovating one uninhabitable house, Developing a one-hectare food security area, planting 200 tree and fruit seedlings, cleaning the place of worship and markets, and distributing 100 food packages for children affected by stunting.
West Bangka Regent Sukirman emphasized that TMMD is an integrated program between the TNI and local government, aimed at accelerating regional development.
"Beyond its primary goal of improving community welfare, TMMD also strengthens the bond between the TNI and the people," he stated.
"We hope that the spirit of unity and synergy between the TNI and the community will continue to flourish, even after this program concludes."
Chief of Staff of Korem (KASREM) 045 Garuda Jaya, Colonel Infantry Ichwansah, highlighted that TMMD supports regional development, particularly in underdeveloped and remote areas.
"TMMD focuses on four target areas: impoverished or 3T (lagging, isolated, and underdeveloped) regions, urban slums, outermost and border islands, and disaster-affected areas. The goal is to ensure equal development across these regions," he explained.
Meanwhile, the Commander of the 123rd TMMD Task Force in West Bangka, Lieutenant Colonel Kiemas Muhamad Nauval, expressed appreciation for PT Timah’s support in the TMMD initiative.
"We sincerely thank PT Timah for supporting our activities with 250 nutritious food packages. These will be distributed to those in need, helping prevent stunting in young children and addressing general food insecurity," he stated. (*)
