BANGKA BARAT -- PT TIMAH Tbk once again demonstrated its commitment to supporting regional religious and cultural activities by contributing to the success of the 14th Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur’an and Hadith (MTQH) of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province, held in West Bangka Regency.
After previously facilitating the Launching of the MTQH XIV Logo at PT TIMAH Tbk’s Majapahit Building, the company continued its support by assisting the organizing committee in ensuring the success of the event.
The MTQH XIV was officially opened by the Governor of the Bangka Belitung Islands, Hidayat Arsani, marked by the beating of the bedug drum together with the Regents and Mayors across the province. The opening ceremony took place at the West Bangka Sport Hall on Friday evening (November 7, 2025).
PT TIMAH Tbk’s participation received appreciation from the West Bangka Regency Government. This was expressed by the Regional Secretary of West Bangka Regency, Muhammad Soleh, who also serves as the General Chairperson of the MTQH XIV Organizing Committee for the Bangka Belitung Islands Province, during his speech at the opening ceremony.
“We would like to thank all parties who have supported the implementation of MTQH XIV, including PT TIMAH Tbk, which has been involved since the logo launch event and provided tote bags for participants. This synergy is a concrete example of collaboration between the business sector and the local government in supporting religious activities,” he said.
According to the MTQH XIV Secretary, Akhmad Nursandi, the tote bags provided by PT TIMAH Tbk will be distributed to all participants as souvenirs during the closing ceremony.
“We appreciate PT TIMAH Tbk’s participation, which from the beginning has supported various needs of the MTQH, from providing the venue to supplying equipment for the participants. We hope this cooperation and concern will continue in future religious and social activities,” he said.
Through this support, PT TIMAH Tbk once again demonstrates its commitment to strengthening harmonious relations with the community and local government while promoting spiritual values and nurturing a Qur’an-loving generation in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province.
