BANGKA BARAT – PT Timah continues to foster synergistic and harmonious relationships with various stakeholders, including journalists.
In celebration of National Press Day (HPN) 2025, PT Timah, through its Processing and Refinery Division, presented a traditional tumpeng dish to journalists in West Bangka.
The tumpeng was handed over by PT Timah's Sub-Division Head of Processing and Refinery, Kopdi Saragih, to the Chairman of the West Bangka Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI), Husni, on Friday night (February 14, 2025).
Husni expressed appreciation for PT Timah’s support and participation in celebrating HPN with journalists in West Bangka.
"This is an extraordinary gesture from PT Timah for us, as they are the only ones inviting us to celebrate HPN, which also coincides with PWI’s 79th anniversary. All journalists commemorate National Press Day," said Husni.
He further highlighted the strong collaboration and synergy between PT Timah and the press.
"PT Timah has always been supportive, whether in social, educational, or other aspects. Many collaborations have been made easier thanks to PT Timah's quick responses. The presence of both the press and PT Timah essentially shares the same goal—to contribute to the nation’s development," he explained.
PWI member Riki Pratama, who also attended the event, appreciated PT Timah’s concern for journalists, despite the celebration being held in a simple manner.
"This is my first time celebrating HPN with fellow journalists in West Bangka, as I’ve only been assigned here for a little over a year. Thank you to PT Timah for your warm welcome and support in commemorating National Press Day," he said.(*)
