PANGKALPINANG -- MIND ID Mining Industry Holding continues to be committed to encouraging the performance of its subsidiaries to proliferate. This was also done by MIND ID to PT Timah Tbk.
Amid domestic tin climate conditions and global challenges that have an impact on PT Timah Tbk's performance, MIND ID Director Hendi Prio Santoso carried out a working visit to PT Timah Tbk in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province on Tuesday 7 November 2023.
The working visit of the Main Director of MIND ID is to provide support for the company's internal efforts in making performance-oriented improvements, mapping new business potential, and creating a road map for managing PT Timah Tbk's associated minerals.
"The global tin industry is currently very volatile, as a Holding of course we routinely guide holding members including PT Timah Tbk in the context of internal company improvements that are oriented towards improving performance," said Hendi.
He said, that to face this challenge, PT Timah Tbk must strengthen management, production, and operations, including the company's IUP security pattern.
Apart from that, Hendi also established synergy with the Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkompinda) in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province. This is because support from stakeholders is needed to realize performance improvements that are oriented towards increasing contributions to the country.
"We ask for support from Forkompinda in Babel. Maybe in the future many adjustments will be made. This aims to set a good precedent in society, increase contributions to the country, and sustainably manage tin resources," he said.
Likewise, PT Timah Tbk President Director Ahmad Dani Virsal said that the visit by the President Director of MIND ID was a form of assistance and motivation to management and employees to improve performance.
"This is a routine visit carried out by MIND ID management. As a subsidiary, of course, it is something that is used to getting visits from the parent company. This is to improve tin governance, especially at PT Timah Tbk. Because we know that currently, tin mining is experiencing dynamic conditions. it's not easy," said Dani.
PT Timah Tbk Management, he said, is currently working hard to improve the company's performance by making efficiencies in all business lines, and increasing production from both land and sea mines.
"We also hope for support from all parties, so that the tin mining ecosystem runs following applicable regulations. PT Timah Tbk can contribute to the country," he said.
Meanwhile, the Acting Governor of Bangka Belitung, Suganda Pandapotan Pasaribu, when meeting with the Main Director of MIND assured that Forkopimda in Babel had good communication, and tended to be united in handling various matters, including tin issues.
